Gee, I' m doing the best I can with mfg. logo tattoos on every conceivable noticeable square inch of skin...and I wouldn't think of leaving my home without labels and names prominently displayed for all to see on each piece of clothing I'm wearing.

Oh, help, I need assistance in getting my tongue out of my cheek.

And why aren't there advertisements on the back of the doors in women's bathrooms? Just think...my book ready to make an appearance.

Thank you for the nice mention of Bundoran Farm. For those of you who haven't been down to see what is happening down here, I encourage you to make the trip.

Even though a great deal has been accomplised, don't be surprised if it looks like not much has happened. That's the goal - to lay lightly on the land and preserve the character and use of this legacy landscape.

We couldn't be happier with that the first house completed at Bundoran Farm was designed by Russell Versaci. It's a perfect example of what can be done with someone studies, understands and respects the architectural heritage of a region.

One of the best compliments we have recieved about this house is that it looks like it has always been there. Congrats go out to Russell Versaci (architect), Maple Ridge Group (the builder), the Tillman's (the owner) and all the skilled craftspeople how made this possible.

I completely disapprove of parents trying to dictate what students other than their own children will read in school. From an educational perspective, however, I think students will find Sedaris, King and Lippman on their own. I am glad that my child's public high school has had him reading Arthur Miller, Fitzgerald, Twain, Shakespeare, Homer, Dreiser and Homer,to name a few required writers, in the last three years.

God forbid that American teenagers be exposed to anything that might sully their innocent minds.

Parents like that give the rest of us a bad name.

Elizabeth - Many thanks for writing about my appearance at the New Dominion on June 18. I'm especially pleased that Charlottesville is the first stop on my book tour since my father grew up there, made his debut as a violin prodigy at UVA at age 13 before heading off to Juilliard, and the last two chapters of the book take place in and around Charlottesville. After arriving in the U.S. in May 1946, my mother and her sister spent 6 months on a farm in Crozet before being accepted as scholarship students at Juiliard. I dare say there is no other Holocaust memoir is which Virginia and Virginians play such an important role. Thanks again for letting your readers know about my talk. Hope to see you there!....Greg Dawson

Oh--also wanted to say that my favorite story out of all of them was in Volume 15 and was called "Johnny's Little Jokes," about a fat little boy who played tricks on his mom one too many times and got his butt whipped for it. Come to think of it, just about every story involves a butt whipping. Uncle Arthur liked spanking WAYYYYYY too much. lol
