This is soooooo true! I went to one of these sites the other day, searching for a very basic piece of information. All I found was fluff and guff.
I’m finding the local University’s on-line catalog extremely frustrating to use. They’ve issued another update and it seems more difficult than ever to find out the call number of an actual physical document. Their electronic collection is excellent — if you’re not searching back any farther than, say, 1985.
