Join us as we kick off another year of the Makers Series this Friday, September 12th from 6-8 pm at Christ Episcopal. Each second Friday of the month, we invite three artists (a musician, a poet, and a visual artist) to share and discuss their artwork and creative process.
This Friday come enjoy the music of John D’earth (world renowned trumpet player and UVA music professor), the short stories of Hilary Steinitz Jackson (local writer and UVA MFA graduate), and the visual art of Christy Baker (local artist). Each artist will share and discuss their work for twenty minutes. There will be time for questions and discussion at the end. Appetizers and desserts will be available.
The last several events have been deeply inspiring. Imagine a room full of tiny coffeehouse-esque tables, vintage fabric table cloths, living room lamps, white lights, and lots of art and conversation about creativity! The event will occur in Meade Hall of Christ Episcopal Church located downtown across from McGuffey Park at 120 W. High Street. Email kate . daughdrill @ gmail . com with any questions. We hope to see you there!
