ESSAY GUIDELINES
1. In 600 words or less, please tell us about a woman you know who has transformed a life challenge into an opportunity for personal growth.
2. We’re looking for essays that inspire! The essay should be conversational as if talking to a friend, neighbor, or relative.
3. The essay must be the entrant’s own original work, the subject matter must be true, and the essay may not have been published previously, entered in any other contest or have won any other award.
4. Entries must include your name, address, daytime telephone number and an e-mail address (if available). Contributors who prefer to remain anonymous must place this request at the outset. Entries may be submitted on or after 12:00 Noon ET on August 1, 2008, and must be submitted no later than 12:00 Noon ET, September 31, 2008. By participating, each entrant accepts these rules.
