The management of CvilleWords, Inc. (a wholly-owned subsidiary of me) would like to know your reading plans for this summer. Drop us a line in the comments and let us know what you’re reading, what you hope to read, or what you plan to read but probably won’t get to this summer. Include a link to your website if you have one, and I’ll do a round-up post in a few days.
I’ll kick things off –

Currently reading: Escape from Amsterdam by Barrie Sherwood
Plan to read: To the Lighthouse
Hope to read but may not get to: Albion’s Seed and/or Edith Wharton
How about you?

I love making a reading plan almost as much as I love reading the books! This summer, I have three categories of books to read:
1) Some ARC I promised to read and review: Hallam’s War (almost finished), The Resistance Fighter (about the Danish resistance movement in WWII), and Abbeville. I also include in this category an unpublished novel written by a friend that i promised to read.
2) Books already on my iPod: Water for Elephants (almost finished), The Trial (never seem to finish), Wildfire by Nelson DeMille (treat for finishing The Trial), Short Stories by Somerset Maugham, and then whatever strikes my fancy.
3) Books to read just because I want to: Venusberg by Anthony Powell (because I love his dance to the Music of Time), The Seven Dials Mystery by Agatha Christie, and then we’ll see.
I think I’ll post this same list over on my blog as well — thanks for the idea!
