I heard a rumor that some people who were turned away from peacemaker Greg Mortenson’s presentation this evening at the Culbreth Theatre didn’t handle their disappointment too peacefully. “Fighting” was the word I heard. The word I heard was, “pissed.” It probably only amounted to some raised voices, but I like to imagine a full-blown brawl. Pennies for Peace, Brawling for Books. Yeah!
By the time I got to the theatre to record the Fiction Favorites session, though, everybody seemed to have settled down. The line of people hoping to have their books signed by the author of Three Cups of Tea: One Man’s Mission to Promote Peace… One School at a Time was pretty subdued as it snaked through the bowels of the Culbreth.
By the way, the Fiction Favorites session was hilarious. If you missed it, I’ll post the recording when it becomes available and you can listen to here or at Charlottesville Podcasting Network.

I got a text from Deepak Singh saying that he was recording this session, so hopefully we will have this audio as well. We might end up with a ton of stuff this time around! Thanks so much for recording these.
