I had no idea Starbucks charges for wi-fi access. I guess I thought the profit margin on a four-dollar cup of coffee would cover the overhead on a thing like that.
Segue to a plug for our local independents: Our writing group has been meeting nearly every week at Cville Coffee for about three years now. Good coffee at a reasonable price, and all the wi-fi you can drink. Plus, the restrooms are very decent, I must say.
Where do you go for wireless and a cuppa? Mudhouse? La Taza? Shenandoah Joe?
