Here’s an announcement from Jackie Lichtman at J-MRL:
YES — teens do read. And the Jefferson-Madison Regional Library is already planning for the teen summer reading program. Cheap Thrills, the Library’s summer reading program for teens, will have its 13th annual Logo Contest beginning March 1. Teens in grades 6-12 may submit their original logo design to any branch of the Jefferson-Madison Regional Library. Deadline is March 31.
The winner will receive a $35 gift certificate to Michaels Arts and Crafts Store, with the winning entry appearing on the front of the Cheap Thrills promotional brochure this summer. Six runners-up will each receive $15 gift certificates to Michaels.
Contest forms and guidelines are now available online on the J-MRL Teen Page, or at any Jefferson-Madison Regional Library branch. Contact your local branch or (434) 979-7151 ext. 215 for more information.
