Calling all stalkers! Ha ha, just kidding. Seriously, you can use Booktour.com to find where YOUR favorite authors are appearing on tour. Or, you can enter your zipcode and find out who is appearing in your area in the near future. You can even request an author appearance should you be so bold.
For example, here’s the page for Lisa Solod Warren, who will be speaking at New Dominion Bookshop this Thursday. Conversely, if you want to avoid running into Joel Osteen, here’s where he’ll be appearing.
Missing feature: When you sign up, you can ask for emails to be sent to you, listing author appearances in your area. But I couldn’t find an RSS feed for my zip — that would be super handy.

That is a drawback of the system. However, think of it this way — if you go see new authors, you’ll have “known them when.”
