Charlottesville Words

Here’s some news that snuck up on me — The Spelling Bee & Dee has metamorphosed (heh, how’s that for a big word?) into Wordplay, “Charlottesville’s own live game show.” You can play a sample game on the web site. I didn’t do so well on my own — 6 out of 10 questions correct — but I know that together, the mighty CHERCH Ladies could totally rock this competition.

As for last year’s contest — well, I still get the shakes whenever I see the word “bougainvillea.”
