Charlottesville author and publisher Jennifer Niesslein to speak

From my inbox, an announcement from local author Jennifer Niesslein. You may know her from Brain, Child Magazine. I’ve added some links here and there for your convenience, because that’s what we’re all about here at Cville Words: convenience.

So, this book I’ve been blathering on about for the better part of a year? It’s finally coming out, and I wanted to invite you to two events.

The first is the UVA Mom Expo on May 12. Stephanie [Wilkinson] and I will be giving a talk about the motherhood in the media at 1:00 at the UVA hospital in a conference room near the cafeteria. I hope the talk itself is fun (we’ll be testing our acting chops by reenacting a celebrity interview at one point). The whole event is free and features things like massages. You can find out more here: http://albemarlefamily.com/

The second event is my reading on May 17 at noon, at New Dominion Bookshop on the Downtown Mall. It’s the big launch day of Practically Perfect in Every Way: My Misadventures Through the World of Self-Help–and Back. (A mouthful, I know.) The book is about the two years I spent taking self-help advice in an effort to become a better, happier person. There’s info a’plenty on my website (below).

Thanks so much for considering coming out!

All best,

Jennifer

P.S. Feel free to forward to as many friends as you’d like.
