Later today I will be leaving for our writing group’s first annual DIY retreat. I’m very excited and also nervous. Nervous because there’s so much to do before I leave (ergo, I blog); excited because there will be so much to do when we get there! I’m taking with me notes from old stories, my laptop, my writing notebook, a few books to read/review, and my knitting. And snacks. Lots of snacks.
I plan to work on the various short stories I have in progress. I’d also like to begin plotting a novel. I’ve had a couple of characters nagging at me for over five years and they deserve a hearing. Let’s see if they can convince me they’re interesting enough for a whole book.
I don’t think we’ll have internet service — updates when I return!
