Sean Lennon at Starr Hill

Last night I went to see Sean Lennon at Starr Hill. I like Sean’s music (check out his video in the sidebar), but I admit my real reason for going was to see the son of John Lennon.

The highlight of the evening came while I was resting my aching old back against the wall next to the musician’s lounge. A middle-aged man in a baseball cap dashed up to the open door, holding out a pencil and pad. “Sean! Sean! Would you mind signing this?”

A mild, drawling voice told the man that he was sorry, he couldn’t give any autographs, everyone would want one, it would cause a problem. He sounded so much like his father. If only John had refused to give autographs…
