Making a book, part II

book.gifI finished the book I was making at VABC. The class was fun, and I’m pretty satisfied with the book I made even though it’s a little crooked and I messed up the end papers. So now I know how to make a book, and I have enough materials left over to make another one whenever I want. But the cost/benefit ratio is a little skewed. Even considering that some of the materials I bought are reusable, I still spent an awful lot of money for something I could have picked up for under $10 at Barnes & Noble. Still, I learned about yet another great Charlottesville resource in the process.

  1. Yeah, if I factor in $60 for the class, $70 for the supplies, and $80 for my time, that was quite a pricey little book! Still, I’m so psyched to have made my own book.
