- February 9: David Sedaris tickets go on sale!
- March 1: Jeanette Walls, author of The Glass Castle, will be making a presentation at a charity event held by The Junior League of Charlottesville. Tickets start at $85.
- April 2007: The Big Read. We’re all supposed to read and discuss The Great Gatsby. And no, you can’t cheat and watch the movie.

Azar Nafisi, in “Reading Lolita in Tehran,” describes her students putting “The Great Gatsby” on trial. That’d be a fun discussion.
$85 dollars? Ouch. I’ve got to wonder if she had forgone her “honorarium” would they have been able to offer the tickets at a lower price.
